HARRIS, Clarence Edward (aka Spongy) 91, transitioned on Monday, November 13, 2017 from this life peacefully with his family at his home after a lengthy illness. We will cherish his memory until we meet again. He was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Judge Oliver and Mavis Harris. A graduate of Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School class of 1944. He served in the United States Navy and retired from the US. Postal Office after 35 years of service. He is preceded in death by his 4 brothers, Lester, Wilson, John and Charles, 4 sisters Mavis, Margaret, Kathryne and Mary Lou and 1 son Gregory Clarence Harris. Clarence leaves to cherish his memories and celebrate his legacy his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Marjorie Jane, 1 brother Lawrence (aka Petey) (Lorraine) of Dayton, 1 daughter Shari (Jimmy) Mann, Sr., 4 sons Stanford (Gigi) of Cincinnati, Marc (Melissa), Charles Menefee and Clarence Lewis, 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral service Monday, November 19, 2017 @ All Nations Bible Fellowship Church, 3819 Kings Highway, Dayton @ 9:00 am Pastor Jimmy Mann, Sr. officiating Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation 8:30 am.
